Cheryl Lowry is the Aerospace Medicine Residency Director at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She also serves as the course director for the Principles in Aviation and Space Medicine taught annually with visits to the Johnson Space Center. In her career as an aerospace medicine specialist and US Air Force flight surgeon, she has worked on every continent and has supported aeromedical evacuation and undersea missions. She holds a Diploma in Mountain Medicine, is a PADI scuba instructor and an American Sailing Association sailing instructor. Cheryl loves solving problems in extreme environments with limited resources.
