Sophie Da Silva joined the Red Cross Movement as a recruiter in 2015 after six years in the corporate consulting sector. She started during the emergency response to the Ebola crisis in 2015 where several doctors and nurses needed to be recruited in a very short space of time for rapid deployment.
In 2016 she moved to the ICRC, recruiting all positions to field operations. After moving to Geneva shortly after, she started specifically recruiting interpreters to be deployed to ICRC field operations in difficult contexts. Now back in London, she continues recruitment but in addition to this, she is also responsible for designing and delivering the UK HR marketing strategy to reach all potential future ICRC delegates.
